The Approach

When our internal world goes dim, life can become difficult to navigate through & there comes a sense of distress and hopelessness. The approach at Working Through It Therapy is mainly Psychodynamic and is aimed at getting to the ROOT of the presenting struggle. A Person Centred approach is also used as the therapy is about what works for the client. Current and early life experiences which may add to behaviours or certain thoughts, feelings and emotions are also gently explored with the client.

Unconscious dynamics which one is not fully aware of often contributes to ongoing unhealthy patterns of behaviours/decisions. These are also explored in therapy through genuine conversations and by using efficient techniques. The aim is to equip the young person with effective coping skills and to gain self-awareness, internal strength as well as a better understanding about their past and present self.

There is always a way to work through a struggle, one step at a time.
